SAP has had great success in reselling a range of open text solutions, including document access, archiving and invoice management. and the companies announced last February an extension of the agreement allowing SAP to resell Open Text Digital Asset Management (see “SAP and Open Text Add the Global Reseller Agreement to Digital Asset Management”). Today`s announcement enables SAP to resell a robust open text solution that enables companies to produce complete digital records of all personnel-related documents natively integrated into the SAP® ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) solution to achieve out-of-the-box productivity from day one. Human resources transformation by focusing on strategic activities Human resources organizations are under constant pressure to handle large amounts of personnel requests accurately and in accordance with complex data retention and security requirements. At the same time, companies use a large number of HR and related forms to fill out personnel records about the lifecycle of an employee`s engagement with a company. The human resources department is expected to establish, maintain and retrieve these personal documents at all times, whether electronically or in paper form. This solution allows companies to create a complete digital record of all these documents and organize them for immediate search and access. All paper and electronic documents related to staff, retirees, contractors and candidates, as well as SAP ERP HCM basic data, can be accessed from digital personnel records allowing HR staff to perform administrative activities faster and easier. “SAP Employee File Management can help transform the HR department from primarily administrative to strategic,” said Tom Roberts, Global Vice President, Software Solutions Partners, SAP. “Instead of spending most of their time on labour-intensive management tasks, HR staff can focus more on recruiting, developing skills and providing more productive resources for the operational areas they support. By working with Open Text, we offer our customers new features that can help achieve a significant and sustainable return on investment. Enables self-service and shared service models SAP Employee File Management supports a variety of self-service scenarios that free HR staff from tedious routine requests from colleagues and management.
The app also makes it easy to meet service level agreements in shared service environments, helping HR staff quickly find everything they need and helping staff process service requests faster and more efficiently. HR employees access SAP Employee File Management functions through the GUI or business client, while other employees can access files for which they are authorized through SAP NetWeaver-based self-service and manager portals in the SAP ERP HCM solution. . . .
